English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The trio have been celebrated for their outstanding achievements over the last year.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the very first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a unprecedented innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The finalists were unveiled on a national radio breakfast show.

The champion will be announced during a live broadcast on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.

The event will be televised from 7 PM GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Just three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She came off the bench to score key tying goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Her incredible contributions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.

Afterwards, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the finest emerging star on the continent.

She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"To be named a finalist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is an honour," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."

Luke Littler

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

The year started for Littler in spectacular fashion as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

His success continued - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, shattering the previous record.

"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a special memory for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and burst into the spotlight with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin finished second in the batting rankings and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.

"I'm truly honoured to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it inspires more girls to get into cricket."
