Ukraine's air defences intercepted or jammed fifty-four of seventy-eight Russian drones launched towards the country overnight, the air force said on the weekend.

The Russian defense officials claimed it eliminated 42 enemy Ukrainian drones over Russian territory.

Cuban Government Rejects Accusations of Sending Forces to Ukraine

The Cuban government on the weekend denied US assertions it has deployed troops to participate in the hostilities, while declaring Cuban authorities "lack accurate details about citizens of Cuba" participating "voluntarily" or "within the troops of either party".

The foreign ministry in Havana announced 26 Cubans had been convicted to prison terms ranging from 5 to 14 years for mercenary activity since September 2023 when reports emerged of individuals being dispatched to the front in Ukraine.
