Netflix Selects Ideal Performer for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Season 3
The Secret Organization is geared up to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the true confrontation won’t take place until the third season, and a cherished, audience-beloved member has recently been selected.
The platform declared Tuesday that Cole Escola is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Bentham. This character possesses the power to morph into an perfect replica of any individual they’ve touched with their main hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that character reimagined as non-binary, instead of as a drag queen, in the live-action show, as in the initial comic and anime.
This performer is joined by several other new cast members who will portray the organization to the screen, such as head the main antagonist, played by the seasoned performer, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who is also part of the cast as the monarch of the fictional land.
Although Bon Clay is a key figure of the organization, the persona will be introduced in One Piece the upcoming installment. Given the second season likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this signals a significant shift in the timing of their first appearance, one that could suggest more adjustments to the narrative framework.
Escola’s blend of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the role. In addition to their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and numerous honors for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, highlighting the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded characters.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece series is set to return for its second season on March 10, 2026.
