In a surprising collaboration that breaks conventional predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Disclosed

According to the formal release, "A mysterious confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of forbidden rituals and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden cult.

The adventure centers on "bizarre trials and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Changes

The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Extra Features

Players who finish the quest will receive an unique katana in addition to numerous objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This release also adds the game's latest no-cost story episode, titled "The Enigma." Faithful to its name, "A Puzzlement" also includes a new environmental puzzle that may eventually explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
